Sekejap je dah setengah bulan berpuasa. Masih belum puas menikmati bulan puasa yang penuh keberkatan ni. Kengkawan nak tahu, tahun ni aku tiba-tiba sibuk menjahit cloth diaper. Tahun lepas apa aku buat ek..oo..jahit pad. Baking cookies. Sampai tak sempat jahit jubah raya sendiri. Hehe..pagi raya masih dok sembat jubah raya.
Tahun ni betul-betul menguji kemahiran diriku utk membahagi masa. Antara anak-anak, rumahtangga, suami, internet-related tasks dan menjahit. Menjahit hari-hari sampai sakit belakang. Rasa nak muntah tengok snap buttons. Hehehe..don't get me wrong here dear friends, but a woman needs her break from her hectic sewing schedule sometimes (^__^)"
As much as i L.O.V.E sewing diapers (and pads), but everyday dosage will kill you softly. I mean, all the pain related and fatigue. And craziness when dateline comes. Dealing with oversea suppliers. Or locals. Keeping up with customer's constant changing plans. You-get-the-idea. But, i still love sewing. So much. I love creating and fullfiling my customers custom ideas. It is a learning process for me everyday. I never know i can make love with my sewing machine! Hehehe..don't get the wrong idea here now, shall we? Ahaks!
Confession time:
-I have a degree in Biology. Majoring it for nearly 4 years, my thesis was a crazy A grade. Syukran!
-I love to read Biology books. But i hate Physics, though i got good grades on it - once upon a time.
-I love dissecting animals. And plants. And drawing.
-Watching CSI and Bones make me feels half a scientist i was.
-I still have my first dissecting tools box. In case if i need to cut something. Haa..
-I missed my lab coat. And my friends. Sob..
-Last couple of years, i finally got a call from KPLI - to join Maktab Melaka. So that i can be a teacher. I have been trying to get KPLI since 4 times before that. You know, kinda desperate to get a steady job. But i gave it up because i have a little life inside me. You know they told you to get lost from the programme if you're pregnant? Haa..never turn my head back for KPLI. No regrets.
Now what happened?
-I make cloth pads and cloth diapers.
-I never had any formal course to be a seamstress. Seriously? Yes! I learned from Youtube, blogs and books.
-In one year, i have sewn more than 100 diapers. Some are documented (pictures) and some are not. So, don't stalk my FB albums to count it. Hee..
-Biology will always be my first love. Cloth diaper is the current one ^^
-I love myself better now, because I am one of the person in Malaysia who knew how to construct a cloth diaper and pad. I think of myself as a professional seamstress. I have my service value. I am not cheap.
Tapi tu la..there is only one person here. I need help but i couldn't afford to hire any. So i have to work extra hard. Ada terbaca hari tu, pembuat CD custom yang agak glamer from US (if i'm not mistaken), memerlukan masa 6 minggu untuk menyiapkan 15 CD. Bukan nak berlagak la ye, tapi aku jahit 10 CD seminggu secara purata. Biasanya lebih. Tapi still pending orders. Lama gak la customer aku beratur untuk sampai giliran diorang. Bukan aku sengaja nak lambat. Tapi memang banyak yang aku kena jahit! Sampai nak muntah ni..
Aku berdoa sangat-sangat ke hadrat Allah Taala, agar customer aku tidak rasa disusahkan oleh kekhilafanku. Dan aku selalu meminta pada-Nya agar aku teguh dan kuat menghadapi cabaran sebagai peniaga dan penjahit. Amiin..

Jika anda tidak boleh bersabar menanti giliran, sila jangan order custom cloth diaper denganku. Full stop.

ilmu tu tetap subur kalo dibaja2..
paling tak tahan, kesimpulan yg last tu..hahaha..insyaAllah, bila dh ramai customer, ada jln utk buka bisnes lebih besar, bleh hire org tolong..lama2, lynn ada kilang Cd di mesia..what a dream yg tak mustahil, kan??
