Hello friends, i am outdated. As a cloth diapering mommy, i should have done this before to test the truthfulness of the so-called fact. We must eliminate odors with either baking soda or vinegar. I knew that. After quiet sometimes, the cloth diapers will stink. I knew that too. It will either caused by detergent build-up, or no sunning, or the CD is not clean enough. Yadda..yadda..yadda. Since i started cloth diapering my children, the CD stash never undergo any stripping. I thought i never had any stinky CD incident. I used very little nappy detergent and always dry them under sunshine and used plenty of water to rinse (usually two washing cycles).
But after encountering yesterday's incident, i am set with a new resolution. Hahhaa..it is new year right? So, we had very brownish dirty kinda water supply yesterday. And as usual, i washed my soiled CDs. But. they came out REALLY STINKY!! Oh my..oh my..i never experienced this before. I was so shocked the CDs can smelled more yucky than when they're soiled and dirty. Can u imagine that? I put back all the CDs in the washing machine and put some Vanish to eliminate the odor. Nothing's changed. I remembered my untouched white vinegar. I started the machine again, with 3 squirts of vinegar. To my surprised, the CDs smell..like nothing! They smelled 'clean' and no stinky..no detergent..no Vanish. No smell at all. Not even the vinegar smell. Yahoo!! The bottle now is arranged in line with my other detergents. The resolution? Use vinegar to eliminate the stinky odor!
Trust me, the vinegar is a life saver. Nose saver i mean.. (^o^)//
