At first i joined them on Facebook and became a fan, i even gave a comment on one topic about sunning the diapers to kill bacteria (and i suggested using Dettol). I did joined other CD groups on Facebook before, but this one is different..and the topics discussed were all interesting and worth my time reading it. Then i search for the blog. Wow...they have WEEKLY contests! The contests name is "Pimp Your Stash". International contestants are invited too. This week's winner will get a Rocky Mountain Onesize Diaper. How generous...
About this week's contest, they asked about my favorite onesize CD and why i liked it. Well, lucky me..all the CDs i have for my kids are ONESIZE. This is important to me because both my kids can share the same CDs. Admit it, start-up investments for cloth diapering are EXPENSIVE. Because we cannot just buy 2 or 4 CDs to fully CDing, not to mention that i have two children who need diapers ~ day and night. I settled with a medium class CD..as not being too expensive. Babyland from China, and yess..i ordered them directly from the supplier. So far so good, i didn't regret buying them. Multicolors..the pocket is spacious enough for my big hand to put in insert, the inserts are all easily dried ~ when i'm too lazy to sun them outside, just wring under the ceiling fan(my washing machine didn't have the dryer part), very soft yet sturdy fleece lining, and apparenly the PUL is doing the good job. Each one have a very cleverly located snap buttons. I love seeing my DD picking out her favorite color of the day when i said, "Auni..please choose one".
I love Gro-baby too. It is the high class type of CD for me. Bought recently for night time use. The soakers are generously cut and so thick! What i admired more is..it was made of ORGANIC COTTON. I'm paying for what i got, no regret. Blackberry for Auni and Vanilla for Muaz.
Thirdly, being as proud as i am..i love my DIY pocket-fitted CD from RRP pattern. I wouldn't be making them as much as 30 pieces if i hate them. Haha...it is onesize fit most babies. Though the pattern called for flannel, but i've been making them with fleece blanket, towel, waterproof layer added, sewn in soaker and hoop-and-loop added (originally it has to be used with pins). I'm tweaking the pattern to test the limit that the patten will go. Its endless.
Well, that's it. I hope i win, but if not..i'll try again next week. Hohohohoo..!
